American Icon treasures

My partner in crime Alanna and a cute new customer

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to visit us at the second Sunday vintage flea market! I always love getting together to chat with the other vendors, listen to great music, and meet new people, but I swear that yesterday's market was the best yet. Forgive the iPhone-in-the-mirror self portraits you're about to see, but I was so thrilled with all the treasure I scored from the other vendors, I couldn't help but post some quick pics and giving these ladies and gents a pat on the back. Please go visit their websites or brick and mortar stores, or better yet, come out and visit us all at once next month!

My uh-mazing new hand dyed, distressed, and studded Levi's cut offs
from Star Lee and Tiffany Tso of Dog and Pony

Love this detail

To-die-for burnout velvet jacket from Veronica Ortuno at Las Cruxes Vintage

This gorgeous cream crochet shawl with insane fringe
from Miss Sarah Jessica Dean at Magnolia Family Vintage, plus...

... this gorgeous purple Southwestern duffle bag.

My other great purse score was this Turkish tapestry bag
from Johnny Galyon of American Icon Vintage, who organizes this whole event.

Can't get over this elk hide medicine bag,
handmade by my girl Alanna Loosen of Lovecraft Vintage

And I went totally crazy when I saw all the beautiful things that lovely
Katy June of Star Child Vintage unrolled, like this fantastic sheer silk dress...

... this sweet little 50's pink lace blouse...

... and these incredible burgundy palazzo pants.
Katy just started selling at the Fresh Up, so check out her stuff there.

This one's not me, but...

One of my favorite customers Joanna Wilkinson came by the flea market and bought this sexy fringe suede skirt from me, and she looked so cute I could resist snapping her picture. Joanna does a great blog called Keep Austin Stylish and is also collaborating with us on a new Femme et Velo photo shoot soon.
Keep your eyes peeled for that one!

  1. Thanks for shoppin' MFV!

(btw, Katy June's venture is called Star Child!)

  2. You certainly have an eye for the unusual and chic. Nice!
